Benefits: Domain decomposition for thermal ties has been improved. The improvement results in a more equitable domain decomposition of thermal ties as well as the elements whose faces are involved in the tie constraints. The performance is especially improved for models that have large thermal ties, and better scaling is observed for execution with a large number of processors.
